About Me

Protecting Your Tresses

I’ve always relished an opportunity to get a new hairstyle. In fact, my hairstylist never knows what I’m going to ask for next. I always keep her in suspense. For the past few years, I’ve switched back and forth between two distinctly different styles. While I enjoy experimenting with my hair, the continuous processing I put it through is detrimental to my tresses. Therefore, I have to be careful to protect my hair. Every day, I apply a deep conditioner to my hair. I also dry my hair on a warm setting instead of a hot one. On this blog, you will learn how to maintain your hairstyle while protecting your tresses from damage.

Looking Older? 2 Skin Rejuvenation Treatments You Can Get At A Spa

If you are starting to look older, there are many treatments available to help you look younger. These treatments can make your skin look brighter and remove lines and wrinkles. Some of these treatments you can get at a spa, two of which are listed below.

Choose Dermal Fillers

One treatment available is dermal fillers. This is a popular treatment because you see results almost immediately, and the results will get better over the next few days. The technician uses a customized treatment according to the type of skin you have, how many wrinkles, you have, etc.

Dermal fillers can treat wrinkles around the eyes, which is known as crow's feet. They can help if you have under-eye bags. They can remove or diminish wrinkles on your forehead and wrinkles that are between your eyebrows. If you have lip lines from smoking or constant pursing of your lips dermal fillers can help with these wrinkles as well. This treatment can smooth laugh lines and smooth wrinkles on your neck.

You have no downtime if you choose dermal fillers. The fillers are injected into the skin of the area that is being treated. This is done quickly so you can leave the spa soon after you arrive. Recovery is mainly not touching the treated area for a few hours and not washing your face for a few hours. The technician can give you more information about this.

Choose Microneedling

Another treatment you can get at a spa is microneedling. This boosts collagen that you lose as you get older. Collagen is important as it keeps your skin firm and looking young. The loss of collagen will cause wrinkles to appear on your face. Microneedling restores collagen to remove or smooth wrinkles and make your skin look brighter and healthier. Because this treatment increases collagen production you will have firmer and tighter skin. Microneedling requires no downtime.

The microneedling device has tiny needles that punch your skin leaving behind small sores that heal quickly. The technician will likely use an anesthetic cream on your face to help you with discomfort. This treatment has little downtime so you can resume your normal day-to-day living not long after. The technician will give you information on how to care for your skin after the treatment.

Talk with a spa technician to learn much more about these two treatments, as well as other skin rejuvenation treatments available. Reach out to a clinic like RNA Medical Aesthetics for more info.
