About Me

Protecting Your Tresses

I’ve always relished an opportunity to get a new hairstyle. In fact, my hairstylist never knows what I’m going to ask for next. I always keep her in suspense. For the past few years, I’ve switched back and forth between two distinctly different styles. While I enjoy experimenting with my hair, the continuous processing I put it through is detrimental to my tresses. Therefore, I have to be careful to protect my hair. Every day, I apply a deep conditioner to my hair. I also dry my hair on a warm setting instead of a hot one. On this blog, you will learn how to maintain your hairstyle while protecting your tresses from damage.

Care Products For A Healthy Beard

A well-groomed beard can be a gentleman's pride and joy. Many men grow facial hair for years and feel it is a part of their individuality and identity. In order for a man's beard to be healthy and attractive, it should be groomed regularly. If you have a beard or are considering growing one, here are some beard treatment products that will keep you looking your best:

Beard Trimmer:  An electric beard trimmer is an essential tool to keep your facial hair trimmed to one length. This is done with a set of interchangeable guide combs that snap on the front of the trimmer and keep the cutting blades a preset distance from your face. These interchangeable combs can be used with a short stubble beard or a full-grown beard of several inches in length. For easy trimming, look for a rechargeable, cordless trimmer. Once you have trimmed your facial hair with an electric trimmer, you can neaten specific areas under your nose and next to your ears with a pair of trimming scissors.

Liquid Beard Wash:  To keep your beard clean, wash it with a liquid soap that is made for use on facial hair. Beard soap can hydrate your facial hair and keep it soft and shiny especially when it is blended with natural moisturizing ingredients such as aloe vera gel and soy protein. Wash your facial hair twice a week to keep it clean and healthy.

Growth Serum:  To encourage your facial hair to grow fuller and thicker, you can apply a growth serum with argan oil, castor oil, vitamin A, biotin and vitamin C. These ingredients nourish your facial hair roots and stimulate hair growth. They help your skin and beard to maintain an optimal moisture level, prevent breakage, and combat hair loss. Apply growth serum once or twice a week or as often as desired.

Beard Conditioner:  After washing and treating your beard with a growth serum, you can apply a volumizing conditioner that contains shea butter and jojoba oil. These natural ingredients can tame your facial hair and keep it from becoming frizzy or coarse. You can use a conditioner each time you wash your beard.

Whether you have a full beard, a goatee, or a mustache, you can look your best when your facial hair is groomed daily. With conscientious washing, trimming, and conditioning, you can have a healthy beard within a very short amount of time that will look good and feel good every day.
